FUEL SYSTEM AND AIR INTAKE
FUEL SYSTEM WARNING 2. Check the fuel tank vent line q for signs of wear,
deterioration or damage. Replace vent line if

Gasoline is extremely flammable and explosive under 2
certain conditions.
Always stop the engine and refuel outdoors or in a well
ventilated area.
Do not smoke or allow open flames or sparks in or near
the area where refueling is performed or where
gasoline is stored.
Do not overfill the tank. Do not fill the tank neck.
If you get gasoline in your eyes or if you swallow
gasoline, seek medical attention immediately. 3. Be sure the vent line is routed properly and secured
with cable tie(s).
If you spill gasoline on your skin or clothing, NOTICE
immediately wash it off with soap and water and
change clothing. Make sure vent line is not kinked or pinched.
Never start the engine or let it run in an enclosed area.

FUEL TANK VENT LINE
NOTICE
If the vent line fitting is removed from the fuel tank, it
must be replaced. The fitting will not hold properly once
it is removed.
Symptoms of a restricted fuel tank vent include the

temperatures.
1. Remove the seats and the engine service panel.
NOTICE
If the vent line fitting is removed from the frame, it must
be replaced. The ears on the clip (arrows) will not hold
properly once it is removed.
