EFI / FUEL SYSTEM

INITIAL PRIMING / STARTING
PROCEDURE

NOTICE
The injection system should be purged of all air prior to
initial start up any time the fuel system has been
disassembled.

If the fuel system has been completely drained of fuel,
cycle the key switch from OFF to ON two times, waiting
approximately 5 seconds at each ON cycle to allow the
fuel pump to cycle and shut down.
Attempt to start the vehicle normally. If the vehicle does
not start after 5 seconds of cranking, a problem may exist
and should be diagnosed. Verify no trouble codes are set
and that the unit has good fuel pressure at key on.
NOTICE
Accurate testing of EFI components is recommended
utilizing the Digital Wrench® Diagnostic Software
(dealer only).
