MAINTENANCE
COOLING SYSTEM HOSES RADIATOR COOLANT LEVEL
1. Inspect all hoses for cracks, deterioration, abrasion
or leaks. Replace if necessary. WARNING
2. Check tightness of all hose clamps. Never remove the radiator pressure cap when the
engine is warm or hot. Escaping steam and fluid can
CAUTION cause severe burns. The engine must be allowed to
cool before removing the pressure cap.
Do not over-tighten hose clamps at radiator, or radiator
fitting may distort, causing a restriction to coolant flow.
NOTE
TORQUE This procedure is only required if the cooling system
has been drained for maintenance and/or repair.

overheating is evident, the level in the radiator should
be inspected via the radiator cap first and coolant
added if necessary.

machine, must be maintained between the minimum and
maximum levels indicated on the recovery bottle. To Access the Radiator Pressure Cap:
1. Open the front rack storage area.
2. Remove the seal from the seal channel.

must be clear and open. 3. Remove the screws securing the access cover to the
front cab.
2. Fill reservoir to upper mark with Polaris 50/50
Extended Life Antifreeze.

inspect for signs of trapped air in system.
