12.Install the sector gear (16T) onto the shift drum shaft. 16.Clean the transmission and gear sector cover mating

19.Install the transmission drain plug and torque to
specification.

TORQUE
Fill / Drain Plug:
14 ft-lbs (19 Nm)

13.Install the detent star onto the shift drum shaft. Be
sure to install the detent star with the raised edge 20.Install the bellcrank onto the shift shaft. Note the key
facing outward and skip-tooth aligned. splined on the bellcrank and shift shaft. Install the nut

15.Apply a small amount of white lithium grease on the
shift shafts 3^ and component contact surfaces prior
to installing the sector cover.
