FINAL DRIVE

GEARCASE REMOVAL GEARCASE DISASSEMBLY / INSPECTION
1. Stop engine and place gear selector in Park. 1. Drain and properly dispose of gearcase fluid.
Remove any metal particles from the drain plug
2. Remove both front drive shafts from the front magnet.

7.11 2. Remove the seven cover screws and remove the
cover plate assembly.
3. Remove the prop shaft from the front gearcase.
(Refer to Prop Shaft Removal / Installation , page
7.20).
4. Disconnect the wire harness above the front
gearcase and remove the harness from the retaining
dart.
5. Remove the vent line from the front gearcase.
6. Remove the four bolts q retaining the front gearcase
to frame.

7. Remove the gearcase from the front left wheel well
area and slide it between the upper and lower A-arm.
