CLUTCH ASSEMBLY 2. Install clutch spider as shown r.

NOTICE NOTICE
The Teflon® bushings are self-lubricating. If necessary, once the splines are aligned properly, an
arbor press may be used to properly seat the clutch
spider.
CAUTION
Do not apply oil or grease to the bushings.

Reassemble the drive clutch in the following sequence.
Be sure the “X”, or the marks that were made earlier are
aligned during each phase of assembly.

3. Install washer t, belleville washer y, and clutch
spring u.

IMPORTANT
Belleville washer must be installed with dome facing the
outer post.
1. Install two washers q, needle bearing w, and clutch
spacer e onto the stationary sheave in the order
shown.
