BRAKE SYSTEM
FRONT BRAKE SERVICE
BRAKE CALIPER / PAD REMOVAL 5. Push caliper piston into the caliper bore slowly using
a C-clamp or locking pliers with the pads installed.
NOTICE
Brake calipers on 4-seat models will look slightly
different, however, removal process is the same.
1. Elevate and support the front of the vehicle.
WARNING
Always properly support a vehicle that is raised so it
does not tip or fall. Severe injury or damage may occur
if the machine tips or falls.
2. Remove the wheel nuts and front wheel.
3. Loosen the brake pad adjuster screw q 2-3 turns
[counter-clockwise].
NOTE
Brake fluid will be forced back into the master cylinder
fluid reservoir when the piston is pushed back into the
caliper. Remove excess fluid from reservoir as required
so it does not overflow.
6. Push the mounting bracket e inward and slip the
outer brake pad out between the bracket and caliper
body.
4. Remove the upper and lower caliper mounting bolts
w and remove the caliper from the front hub.
NOTE
When removing the caliper, be careful to not damage
the brake line. Support the caliper with a wire hangar or
rope to avoid kinking or bending the brake line.

7. Remove the inner pad from the bracket and caliper.
8. TO REMOVE CALIPER:
Place a catch pan under the brake caliper.
