ENGINE / COOLING SYSTEM

COOLANT DRAIN / FILL 8. Place a suitable drain pan underneath the lower
engine hose q on the right-hand side of the vehicle.
WARNING
ETX
Never drain the coolant when the engine and radiator
are warm or hot. Hot coolant can cause severe burns.
Allow engine and radiator to cool.

1. Remove the right inner fender and footwell plastics.
2. Open the front rack storage area.
3. Remove the seal q from the seal channel.

4. Remove the screws w securing the access cover to
the front cab.
5. Remove the access cover e.
6. Remover the pressure cap r.
7. Drain the coolant from the radiator u by removing the
lower coolant hose clamp t and hose y from the
radiator as shown. Reinstall the coolant hose.
9. Remove the hose and completely drain the engine.
Reinstall the lower coolant hose.
10.Properly dispose of the coolant.
11. Remove the pressure cap. Using a funnel, add the
recommended coolant to the top of the filler neck and
fill the recovery bottle to the MAX level.
12.Refer to Chapter 3 for the “Cooling System Bleeding
Procedure”.
13.Reinstall the body panels that were removed in the
reverse order they were removed.
