TEMPERATURE AND MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR (T-MAP)

OPERATION OVERVIEW
Mounted on the left side of the throttle bodies, the T-MAP
q performs two functions in one unit. The T-MAP detects
intake air temperature as well as manifold absolute
pressure.

These sensor signals, comprised of separate intake air
temperature and manifold absolute pressure readings
are processed by the ECU and compared to its
programming for determining the fuel and ignition
requirements during engine operation. The T-MAP
provides the ECU with engine load data.

T-MAP TEST / REPLACEMENT
The T-MAP is a non-serviceable item and can only be
tested using Digital Wrench®. If the sensor is faulty, it
must be replaced.
NOTE
This sensor should only be tested using Digital
Wrench® Diagnostic Software (dealer only).
