POWER STEERING UNIT INSTALLATION TORQUE

1. If the power steering unit q was removed from the Lower Steering Shaft to EPS Unit Pinch Bolt:
mount bracket w, reinstall it prior to vehicle 25 ft-lbs (34 Nm)
installation. Torque the mounting bolts e to
specification
TORQUE

Power Steering Unit Mounting Bolts:
30 ft-lb (41 Nm)

IMPORTANT
To ensure the steering shaft splines are fully engaged
to the EPS unit, inspect the pinch-point opening using a
no-go gauge of 0.49” width. The gauge must not pass
between the pinch point in the steering shaft. If the
