STEERING / SUSPENSION

STEERING RACK INSTALLATION TORQUE

1. Install steering rack/mounting cast assembly through Ball Joint Pinch Bolt:
the left side of the vehicle, between upper and lower 40 ft-lbs (54 Nm)
A-arms.
2. Install lower steering shaft pinch bolt into steering 9. Install lower shock mounting fasteners w on either
rack. Torque pinch bolt to specification. side of the vehicle. Torque fasteners to specification.

TORQUE
Lower Steering Shaft Pinch Bolt:
50 ft-lbs (68 Nm)

3. Install tie rod ends into hub assemblies. Torque nuts
to specification.
TORQUE
Tie Rod Nuts:
30 ft-lb (41 Nm) + 90°

4. Lubricate the front gearcase splines with Anti-Seize.
5. Install vent line and connect the AWD harness.
6. Install drive shaft into the front gearcase and steering
knuckle. Repeat for opposite side of the vehicle.
TORQUE
Shock Mounting Fasteners:
40 ft-lb (54 Nm)

10.Install both front hub assemblies e and washers r.

7. Install upper control arm into steering knuckle.
Repeat for opposite side of vehicle.
8. Install upper ball joint pinch bolt q on either side of
the vehicle. Torque bolts to specification.
