TRANSMISSION REMOVAL 6. From the right front wheel well, locate the prop shaft
roll pin q. Use the Roll Pin Removal Tool to remove

3. Disconnect the (-) negative battery cable from the
battery.
4. Safely raise and support the vehicle.

CAUTION
Serious injury may result if machine tips or falls. Be
sure machine is secure before beginning this
procedure. Always wear eye protection.

5. Remove rear wheels from the vehicle.

8. Remove the Torx screws e retaining the center
console to access the prop shaft.
9. Slide prop shaft back far enough to remove it from
the front gearcase input shaft splines.
10. Pull sharply forward to remove the prop shaft from
transmission shaft.
11. Remove the rear bumper and cargo box as an
assembly (see Chapter 10 – ).
