4. Place a drain pan beneath engine crankcase and 9. Place shop towels beneath oil filter. Using Oil Filter
remove the drain plug w. Wrench (PU-50105) and a 3/8” extension, turn the oil
filter counter-clockwise to remove it.

CAUTION
Oil Filter Wrench:
Oil may be hot. Do not allow hot oil to come into contact PU-50105: 2.5″ (64 mm)
with skin, as serious burns may result.
10. Using a clean dry cloth, clean filter sealing surface
5. Allow oil to drain completely. on the crankcase.
6. Replace sealing washer on drain plug. 11. Lubricate O-ring on new filter with a film of fresh
engine oil. Check to make sure the O-ring is in good
NOTE
condition.
The sealing surface on the drain plug should be clean
and free of burrs, nicks or scratches. 12. Install new filter and tighten to specification.
TORQUE
7. Reinstall drain plug and torque to specification.
Oil Filter:Lubricate seal with engine oil prior to filter
TORQUE installation and turn by hand until filter gasket
contacts sealing surface, then turn an additional 3/4
Crankcase Drain Plug:
turn.
12 ft-lbs (16 Nm)
13. Remove the engine oil dipstick q.
8. Place a drain pan under vehicle below the oil filter e.
14. Add oil as necessary to bring the oil level to the
upper mark on the dipstick. Do not over fill the
engine, the maximum oil capacity is 2 qts(1.9 l).
NOTE
The dipstick must be screwed completely in to ensure
accurate measurement.
15. Reinstall the upper fill cap (if removed) and tighten
the dipstick.
16. Verify the transmission is still positioned in PARK (P).
17. Start the engine and let it idle for two minutes.
18. Stop the engine and inspect for leaks.
