BRAKE SYSTEM
PAD INSPECTION 3. Install caliper onto front hub and torque mounting
1. Measure the thickness of the pad material. Replace bolts w to specification.
pads if worn beyond the service limit.
TORQUE
Front Caliper Mount Bolt:
Front Brake Pad Thickness:
30 ft-lb (41 Nm)
.297 ± .007" (7.5 ± .178 mm)
Service Limit: 0.180" (4.6 mm)
4. Slowly pump the brake pedal until pressure has been
built up. Maintain at least 1/2" (12.7 mm) of brake
fluid in the reservoir to prevent air from entering the
PAD ASSEMBLY / INSTALLATION brake system.
