CRANKSHAFT REMOVAL
1. Remove the cylinder head.
2. Remove the cylinder and piston.
3. Remove the stator cover and flywheel.
4. Remove the water pump cover and water pump
impeller.
5. Remove the balance shaft assembly.
6. Remove the engine oil sump cover. Connecting Rod Big End Side Clearance:
7. Separate the engine case halves. 0.00590-.01771″ (.15 - .45 mm)
8. Place the upper engine case cylinder side down and
lift the crankshaft assembly from the engine. 2. Measure the connecting rod small end I.D. w.
Small End I.D. Standard:
.7086 - .709″ (18.000 - 18.018 mm)
Service Limit: .710″ (18.036 mm)
