FUEL SYSTEM

FUEL TANK INSTALLATION TORQUE

1. Carefully reinstall the fuel tank assembly. Power Steering Unit Mounting Bolts:
2. Reinstall the fuel tank strap and fuel tank fasteners. 30 ft-lb (41 Nm)

TORQUE
Fuel Tank/Strap Screws
8 ft-lbs (11 Nm)

3. Install the fuel vent line and supply line.
4. Install fuel pump electrical connector.
5. Install main floor.
CAUTION
Use caution when installing the main floor to avoid
damaging the master cylinder rod and/or assembly.

6. Reinstall rear lower close-off panel onto the fuel tank.
Secure with plastic rivets and torque screws to
specification.
12.Install the power steering unit into the vehicle and
TORQUE align the skip-tooth spline on the power steering stub
shaft with the opening in the lower steering shaft.
Close-off Panel Screws
8 ft-lbs (11 Nm)

7. Reinstall the seat base frame and torque fasteners to
specification.
TORQUE
Seat Base Frame fasteners (front)
14 ft-lb (19 Nm)
Seat Base Frame fasteners (rear)
30 ft-lb (41 Nm)

8. Install steering boot into the main floor.
9. Install shift linkage onto the shift lever.
10.Install two push darts and seven T40 torx screws into
the main floor. Torque screws to specification. 13.Place the power steering mount bracket over the top
of the mounting studs and finger tighten the four nuts.
TORQUE
14.Position the lower steering shaft on the power
Main Floor Panel Screws steering unit stub shaft and install the pinch bolt.
8 ft-lbs (11 Nm) Torque to specification.

11. If the power steering unit q was removed from the
mount bracket w, reinstall it prior to vehicle
installation. Torque the mounting bolts e to
specification
