REAR SUSPENSION

REAR A-ARM REMOVAL / REPLACEMENT 8. Install upper A-arm assembly onto vehicle frame.
Torque new fastener to specification.
The following procedure details upper and lower A-arm
removal and replacement on one side of the vehicle. TORQUE
Repeat the following steps to remove the A-arm(s) from
the opposite side. Upper A-arm Fasteners:
40 ft-lb (54 Nm)
NOTE
Use the exploded view in this section as a reference 9. Attach upper A-arm to bearing carrier. Torque new
during the procedure. fastener to specification.
TORQUE
1. Elevate and safely support the rear of the vehicle off
the ground. Upper Bearing Carrier Bolts:
40 ft-lb (54 Nm)
2. Remove the wheel nuts, and rear wheel.

3. Remove the fastener q attaching the upper A-arm to
the bearing carrier. 10. Disengage the rear brake line from the routing clip on
the lower A-arm.
4. Remove the two fastener w attaching the upper A-
arm to the frame and remove the upper A-arm from 11. Remove the fastener e retaining the lower portion of
the vehicle. the shock and stabilizer linkage to the lower A-arm.

5. Examine bushings and pivot tubes. Replace if worn. 12. Remove the fastener r attaching the lower A-arm to
