MAINTENANCE


                   • To quickly determine if a vehicle is using 60/40 or 50/  COOLING SYSTEM
                     50 Extended Life antifreeze, simply note the color of  1. Inspect all hoses for cracks, deterioration, abrasion
                     the coolant. 60/40 antifreeze will be green, while 50/50  or leaks. Replace if necessary.
                     Extended Life antifreeze will be yellow.

                                                                         2. Check tightness of all hose clamps.
                                                                         COOLANT DRAIN
                                                                         1. Remove the hood from the front cab.

                                                                                              WARNING
                                                                           Never drain the coolant when the engine and radiator
                                                                           are warm or hot. Hot coolant can cause severe burns.
                                                                                   Allow engine and radiator to cool.

                                                                         2. Slowly remove the pressure cap to relieve any
                                                                             cooling system pressure.
                                                                         3. Place a suitable drain pan underneath the radiator
                                                                             fitting on the front right-hand side of the vehicle.
                                                                         4. Drain the coolant from the radiator by removing the
                                                                             lower coolant hose q from the radiator as shown.
                                                                             Properly dispose of the coolant.





















                                                                         5. Allow coolant to completely drain.
