BRAKE SYSTEM

                CALIPER INSPECTION                                   BRAKE PAD INSPECTION

                1. Inspect caliper body for nicks, scratches or wear.  Measure the thickness of the pad material and backing
                   Measure bore size and compare to specifications.  plate with a caliper. Replace pads if worn beyond the

                                 MEASUREMENT                                      .296 ± .007″(7.53 ± .19 mm)
                            Rear Caliper Piston Bore I.D.:                              .180″ (4.6 mm)
                             Large: 1.188″ (30.18 mm)
                          Service Limit: 1.19″ (30.23 mm)
                              Small: 1.000″ (25.4 mm)
                          Service Limit: 1.002″ (25.45 mm)


                2. Inspect piston for nicks, scratches, wear or damage.
                   Measure diameter and replace if damaged or worn
                   beyond service limit.





















                                 MEASUREMENT
                            Rear Caliper Piston Bore I.D.:
                      Large: 1.1860-1.1875″ (30.12-30.16 mm)
                       Small: 0.9985-1.000″ (25.36-25.40 mm)


                3. Inspect the brake disc and pads as outlined in this
                   chapter.
