9. Clean end of taper on crankshaft and the taper bore
inside drive clutch.
10. Install drive clutch and torque the retaining bolt to
specification.
TORQUE
Drive Clutch Retaining Bolt
45 ft-lbs (61 Nm)

11. Reinstall drive belt noting direction of rotation. If a
Special Tool PA-52253
new belt is installed, install so numbers can be easily 5
read.
12. Replace PVTouter clutch cover rubber gasket.
13. Reinstall PVT outer clutch cover and secure with
screws. Torque to specification.
TORQUE

Outer Cover Screws, PVT
50 in-lbs (5 Nm)

14. Install the PVT cover inlet / outlet ducts and tighten
the clamps. Torque to specification.
NOTE
Clamp - Worm Drive
20 in-lbs (2 Nm)

TORQUE
Stainless Steel Cable Tie:
24 in-lbs (2.7 Nm) Clockwise

6. Clean splines inside driven clutch and on the
transmission input shaft.
7. Apply a light film of grease to the splines on the
shaft.
