BRAKE SYSTEM

REAR BRAKE PAD

TOURING PAD REMOVAL 5. Push caliper piston into the caliper bore slowly using
1. Elevate and support the rear of the ATV. a C-clamp or locking pliers with pads installed.
2. Remove the rear wheel
3. Loosen pad adjuster screw 2-3 turns.

NOTE
Brake fluid will be forced through compensating port
into master cylinder fluid reservoir when piston is
pushed back into caliper. Remove excess fluid from
reservoir as required.
4. Remove the two caliper mounting bolts and lift
caliper off the brake disc.
6. Push caliper mounting bracket inward and slip outer
brake pad past the edge to remove.

NOTE
When removing caliper, be careful not to damage brake
line. Support caliper so as not to kink or bend brake
line.
