ENGINE REMOVAL 5. Drain the engine oil into an appropriate container by
removing the engine drain plug.
1. Park the vehicle on a flat level surface.
2. Turn the 1/4 turn hinges on the battery access panel.

CAUTION
3. Lift the rear of the access panel up and pull towards
front of vehicle to remove. Do not allow hot engine oil to come into contact with
skin, as serious burns may result.

6. Drain the engine coolant into an appropriate
container by removing the water pump hose.

4. Remove front storage box and disconnect the
negative battery cable.

CAUTION
Do not allow hot engine coolant to come into contact
with skin, as serious burns may result.
