TRANSMISSION

PLANETARY DIFFERENTIAL DISASSEMBLY 3. Remove the six planet gears and each side gear
(TURF MODE MODELS ONLY) assembly from the ring gear.

NOTICE
If the gearcase is completely assembled, perform the
Transmission Disassemblypage procedure.

1. Use a scribe to mark the differential cover and ring
gear prior to disassembly.

4. Inspect the female side gear (A), male side gear (B),
planet gears (C) and ring gear (D). Replace
components or bushings as needed. Bushing
replacement can be performed on all necessary
differential components. If bushing replacement is
required, proceed to Planetary Differential Bushing
Replacement (Turf Mode Models Only)page 6.23.

2. Remove the six screws retaining the differential
cover and remove the cover.
