FINAL DRIVE

INSTALLATION 8. Remove jack stand and torque axle nut and wheel
nuts to specification.
1. Insert bearing carrier on drive shaft.
2. Align bottom of carrier housing and lower control TORQUE
arm. Grease and slide lower control arm bushings Wheel Nuts:
into place, securing corner housing.
Steel: 27 ft-lbs (37 Nm)Aluminum: 30 ft-lbs (41 Nm)
3. Install and torque both lower control arm bolts. + 1/4 Turn

TORQUE
Rear Hub Retaining Nut:
110 ft-lbs (149 Nm)

9. Install a new cotter pin. Tighten nut slightly to align
holes if required.

TORQUE

Bearing Carrier Mounting Bolt, Lower:
50 ft-lbs (68 Nm)

4. Lift bearing carrier until top aligns with upper control
arm. Install and torque upper control arm bolt and
torque to specification.

TORQUE
Bearing Carrier Mounting Bolt, Upper
37 ft-lbs (50 Nm)

5. Pull drive shaft outward and install hub onto
driveshaft splines. Apply anti-seize to the splines.
6. Install cone washers with domed side facing
outward.
7. Install retainer nut, wheel and wheel nuts.
