BALL JOINT REPLACEMENT 7. Install puller guide q with extension cap w.

NOTE
Refer to the illustration on the previous page for this
procedure.

1. Loosen front wheel nuts slightly.
2. Elevate and safely support machine under footrest/
frame area.

CAUTION
Serious injury may result if machine tips or falls. Be
sure machine is secure before beginning this service
procedure.
8. Apply grease to extension cap and threads of puller
3. Remove wheel nuts and wheels. bolt to ease removal.
4. Remove cotter pin and ball joint castle nut. Separate 9. Thread bolt e with nut r onto ball joint stud as

5. Remove screws and ball joint retaining plate. 10. Apply heat to ease removal.

11. Hold bolt and turn nut clockwise until ball joint is
removed from strut housing.
12. To install a new ball joint, Remove extension cap and
attach puller guide using short bolts provided in the
kit.

6. Using Ball Joint Replacement Tool, remove ball joint
from strut housing. .
