TORQUE SUPPORT BEARING REPLACEMENT
Prop Shaft Hoop Fasteners: 1. Remove the rear prop shaft from the vehicle (see

9. Torque skid plate mounting fasteners to specification.

Skid Plate Fasteners:
8 ft-lbs (11 Nm)

10.Torque lower shock mounting fastener to
specification.
3. Using a commercially available 2-jaw puller, remove
TORQUE the bearing from the end of the prop shaft.

Shock Mounting Fasteners: 4. Clean the bearing mounting surface on the shaft and

apply Loctite 603 retaining compound to the clean
40 ft-lb (54 Nm)
surface.
11. Torque wheel lug nuts to specification.

TORQUE
Wheel Lug Nuts:
120 ft-lbs (163 Nm)

5. Install the new support bearing assembly onto the
end of the prop shaft.
