TRANSMISSION

7. Remove the two sector gears. 10.Lift up on the shift shaft rail s and move the rail
assembly rearward to allow the shift fork pins to be
removed from the shift drum d. Remove the shift
drum from the transmission housing.

NOTICE
Note the timing marks on the shift gears for reassembly
purposes.
11. Remove the shift shaft and forks as an assembly.
12.Remove the rear output shaft assembly f by lifting
8. Remove transmission case bolts a. underneath the gear or by tapping the shaft from the
opposite side.
13.Remove the idler gear assembly g.

9. Using the three designated pry points shown in the
image, separate the transmission case halves.

CAUTION 14.Remove the input shaft assembly h.
Do not pry on the transmission case mating surfaces or 15.Remove the reverse shaft assembly j.
the transmission cases will be damaged and leak oil 16.Remove the idler shaft assembly k.
after it is reassembled.
