ENGINE / COOLING SYSTEM
ENGINE REMOVAL 12.Remove the oil drain hose e.
1. Remove both seats.
2. Disconnect the battery.
3. Remove upper and lower rear close off panels.
13.Remove two fasteners r and remove the coolant
inlet hose t and outlet hose y.
4. Remove cargo box, rear fascia and rear bumper.
Disconnect rear light electrical harness from
aluminum cross member.
5. Drain coolant and engine oil. See Engine Oil and
Filter Change, and Coolant Flush.
6. Remove the muffler. See Muffler Removal page 3.15.
7. Remove the exhaust pipe. See Exhaust Pipe
Removal page 3.16.
8. Remove the air box and engine air intake. See Air
Box Removal page 3.13.
9. Remove two hoses q from the turbo going to the
boost control valve. 14.Remove two fasteners u retaining turbo bracket to
the turbo.
10.Remove air box, unbolt heat shield above exhaust
pipe to remove the aluminum cross member. Remove 15.Loosen four fasteners i on the engine mounting
aluminum plate below air box. Remove heat shield on bracket and pivot the top of the turbo bracket forward.

11. Remove the three bolts w retaining the oil inlet line.
IMPORTANT
The oil line sealing washers MUST be replaced any
time the oil line/fitting is removed. Use only the
recommended washers shown in the Polaris Electronic
Parts Catalog.
